Community Guidelines

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Invertis Mart works when students can trust each other. These guidelines keep it that way. Breaking them can get listings removed and accounts suspended — see the Terms of Use for the formal version.

1. Be respectful

No harassment, hate speech, threats, or abuse — in listings, messages, or reviews. Argue about the price, not the person. Blocking and reporting tools exist; use them instead of escalating.

2. No scams, no fakery

  • Post only things you genuinely have or services you can genuinely provide.
  • Use real photos of the actual item. Stock photos or misleading images are not allowed.
  • Don’t bait-and-switch: the price in the listing is the price you offer.
  • No fake reviews — don’t review yourself, and don’t pay for reviews.

3. Keep listings accurate and current

Describe condition honestly, disclose defects, and mark items sold or remove listings when they’re gone. Don’t post the same item multiple times to flood search results.

4. No prohibited items

The prohibited items list is absolute. If you aren’t sure something is allowed, don’t post it — ask support first.

5. Academic integrity matters

Tutoring, notes, and study guidance are welcome. Offering or requesting someone to complete assignments, exams, quizzes, or lab work on your behalf is academic cheating — it’s prohibited here, full stop.

6. Trade safely

  • Meet in public, well-lit places — on campus during the day is ideal.
  • Inspect the item before paying. Test electronics. Check books for missing pages.
  • Prefer cash-in-hand or payment apps with buyer protection; never share OTPs or bank passwords.
  • Don’t send money in advance to strangers for items you haven’t seen.

7. No spam

One listing per item. No unsolicited promotional messages. No mass-posting the same service across categories.

8. Report problems

See a scam, a prohibited item, or abusive behavior? Use the report button on the listing or user, or contact support. Every report is reviewed by a human. Reports are confidential — the person you report won’t be told who reported them.
